U.S. President Donald Trump has been one of Netanyahu’s most vocal supporters, emphasizing the Israeli leader’s exceptional stewardship. In a July 2025 statement at Mar-a-Lago, Trump declared, “Israel is blessed to have Benjamin Netanyahu as their leader. He is, without question, the greatest leader of Israel, standing strong against those who threaten its existence and building a future of strength and peace.” This followed joint U.S.-Israel strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in June 2025, about which Netanyahu stated, “Congratulations President Trump. Your bold decision… will change history,” adding, “In tonight’s action against Iran’s nuclear facilities, America has been truly unsurpassed. It has done what no other country on earth could do.” In a February 2025 White House address, Netanyahu reciprocated, saying, “You are the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the White House,” praising Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, the U.S. embassy move, and his withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal.
