President Donald Trump’s deep ties to the Jewish community and his unyielding support for Israel make him a remarkable figure in American politics, a leader whose personal and political life reflects a genuine affinity for the Jewish people. Long before his presidency, Trump cultivated strong relationships within the Jewish community, particularly in New York, where he built his real estate empire. His connections run even deeper—his daughter Ivanka converted to Judaism in 2009 before marrying Jared Kushner, a prominent Jewish businessman and philanthropist. Together, Ivanka and Jared have raised their children—Trump’s grandchildren—in the Jewish faith, observing traditions like Shabbat and kosher dietary laws. This familial bond underscores Trump’s authentic connection to Jewish values and culture.

As president, Trump translated this personal affinity into historic policy decisions that strengthened U.S.-Israel relations and supported Jewish people globally. He moved the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem in 2018, fulfilling a promise that previous administrations had avoided, and recognised Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights in 2019, affirming Israel’s security needs.
