The Hypocrisy of the West and the Mass Media: Starvation Lies and Hostage Truths

Starved Israeli hostage, David

Western leaders and mainstream media have mastered the art of selective outrage. For months, they’ve amplified claims of starvation in Gaza, often without scrutiny, pushing a narrative that paints Israel as the villain in the conflict. Yet, when harrowing videos and images emerged showing Israeli hostages—emaciated, desperate, and clinging to life after months of captivity under Hamas’s brutal grip—these same voices fell eerily silent. This double standard is not just biased; it’s a betrayal of truth.

The starvation narrative in Gaza has been weaponized, with exaggerated reports often ignoring Hamas’s role in hoarding aid and fueling chaos. Meanwhile, the undeniable evidence of hostages—men, women, and children—starved and tortured by Hamas terrorists barely registers a whisper in Western capitals or newsrooms. Where are the front-page stories? Where are the impassioned speeches from global leaders? The silence is deafening, exposing a hypocrisy that prioritizes politics over human lives.

Israel, however, sees through this fog of deceit. The Jewish state will not bow to distorted narratives or cower before international pressure. With resolve, Israel presses forward to dismantle Hamas, a terrorist group committed to its destruction. Every step toward eradicating this threat is a step toward justice—not just for the hostages, but for all who yearn for peace. The world may turn a blind eye, but Israel will not be deterred.
